What are the dates and opening times for this years Expo?

Leeds - Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October 2009
London - Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October 2009

The show opens at 11am and closes at 8pm on each day.

Where is the Expo and how do I get there?

London - Old Billingsgate. The nearest tube station is Monument. It's also only 5 minutes walk from London Bridge and a short distance from Cannon Street and Fenchurch Street overground stations.

How do I purchase tickets?

Visit the tickets page to buy tickets for this year's event.

Can I buy tickets on the door?

No - you must buy tickets in advance.

Where's my ticket?

We're using an e-ticket system. After you buy your ticket you will be redirected to your e-ticket page with a unique barcode on it - print this out and bring it with you. It was also sent to your e-mail address.

I don't have a printer! What shall I do?

Write down the long number below the barcode on your e-ticket and bring it with you.

Where can I get a bite to eat and a drink?

In London there will be some basics available to purchase on-site (drinks, sandwiches etc).

In Leeds there are several nearby cafes and restaurants including a Pizza Express on-site.

Are there toilets available?

Yes!

I want to stay overnight. Any suggestions?

Can I take photographs or videos during the Expo?

Yes!

Will there be any developers at the event?

Yes. There'll be presentations where some top developers talk about the making of their games, their careers and more. The schedule will be announced soon.

What games will I be able to play?

Visit the What's On page to see which games are currently confirmed, further announcements will be made in the run up to the Expo.

What's the difference between the London and Leeds events?

The same games will be playable at both venues. But the London event is bigger so there'll be more consoles for each game. There'll be a few extra attractions exclusive to each event - but the games will be the same. The sessions will also feature different developers.

Is there disabled access at both locations?

Yes.

Can I have a press pass please?

Will there be tournaments / competitions at this years event?

There will be various tournaments and challenges taking place during the Expo, they'll be announced in the run up to the show.

I've bought a ticket but now I can't attend. Can I have a refund?

No refunds, sorry. But if you want to change the day of your booking please contact us.

How will the queuing work for each game?

For the biggest games there will be queues. Our volunteers will help manage these to make sure people don't hog the systems. We want to strike a balance between getting a good amount of time to play but also making sure everybody gets to play the games they want. We think 20 minutes on a game is about right before moving on.

Will there be any freebies at the Expo?

There'll be a few giveaways and things to win, although exactly what they are will not be announced in advance of the event.

Are there any age restrictions for the Expo?

You must be at least 15 years of age to attend. In addition there will be several 18+ rated games at the show and only visitors of 18 years or above will be able to play these titles.

If you appear younger than your actual age (lucky you!) you will be asked for ID so please bring along some form of photographic identification such as a passport or driving license.
